Powders, granules and mixtures

Customer requests from metal casting, industry ceramic and other industries have motivated us to set up a production facility to produce broad and narrow band graphite or carbon powders and granules from almost any carbon material. Today’s capacity range from kg per batch to a two-digit tons per year. Particle sizes may range from around 20 µm to 8 mm, bandwith between largest and smallest particle size from 1,2 : 1 (e.g. 1.100 to 900 µm) to anything larger. Surplus products from this production may be found in our in limited quantities.

Beyond multistep comminution and sieving we produce blends of different powders or granules in batch mixers.

Likewise we have developed proprietory die coating compositions based on graphites for different customer applications.

In a recent application we have acquired the equipment and learned how to compact fine graphite powders.

Niche products in our portfolio are natural graphite and expandable graphite powders. The latter are widely used in flame retardant formulations.
